Warning Signs:
  •  Evidence of purging behaviors
  • Frequent trips to the bathroom after meals
  • Smell of vomit 
  •  Presence of wrappers or packages of laxatives
  • Extream Workout regimene
  • Feeling the need to burn-off calories taken in.
  • Calluses on the back of the hands and knuckles from self-induced vomiting

  • Electrolyte imbalances that can lead to irregular heartbeats and possibly heart failure and death.
  • Rupture of the esophagus from frequent vomiting.
  • Tooth decay and staining from stomach acids during  vomiting.
  • Irregular bowel movements and constipation as a result of laxative abuse.

Bulimia Nervosa is... An eating disorder, common especially among young women of normal or nearly normal weight, that is characterized by episodic binge eating and followed by feelings of guilt, depression, and self-condemnation. It is often associated with measures taken to prevent weight gain, such as self-induced vomiting, the use of laxatives, dieting, or fasting
